Master of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MM FEB UGM) continues to hold student activities based on leadership development. The Leadership Camp or Leadership Camp, one of the Leadership Enhancement and Acceleration Program (LEAP) agendas this time, was held for ASEAN Master in Sustainability Management IMBA students Batch 78 in Dolandeso Tourism Village, Boro, Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta at the end of May 2022. This activity was finally held again after the Covid-19 pandemic decreased.

This time, the participating students in the Leadership Camp consist of several ASEAN countries besides Indonesia, such as Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

The Leadership Camp takes 2 days and 1 night from 27 – 28 May 2022. Various activities are intended to hone cohesiveness and a sense of leadership and solve challenges by cooperating with Eureka Consultant partners as the implementing team for this Leadership Camp.

The Eureka Consultant team invites ASEAN students to do various leadership game activities so that students can build a leadership spirit, have good teamwork, and find solutions to problems individually and in teams. Each group of students performed their creativity in the evening at the MMUGM Hits event. All performances were judged by the Management of the MM FEB UGM Study Program.

On the next day, the activity begins with breakfast and Morning Track. After the Morning Track, Bayu Sutikno, Ph.D., the Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, delivered his remarks. “I hope this morning at least 23 future leaders from ASEAN will be here to make big changes in the future.”

The presentation with the title of Leadership Development was delivered by the Director of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, Amin Wibowo, Ph.D. “Hopefully, the situation will be better in the future to continue to hold leadership activities offline. Activities like this hone leadership spirit by daring to step out from the comfort zone, carrying out dynamic, complex, risky, uncertain work, and increasing self-competence while motivating yourself to move forward.”

The excitement of the whole series of events was closed with the election of the King and Queen of Leadership Camp and the announcement of the best group performance during MMUGM Hits. After awarding prizes and group photos, Leadership Camp ended with lunch together. (Humas/Photo; Dian).
