MM FEB UGM menyelenggarakan perkuliahan dengan sistem semester. Dengan demikian, satuan kredit yang digunakan adalah Satuan Kredit Semester (SKS). Satu tahun akademik dibagi menjadi dua semester. Satu semester berlangsung selama 6 bulan. Semester dalam satu tahun akademik dimulai pada bulan Februari dan Agustus.
Jumlah SKS yang harus ditempuh mahasiswa untuk memenuhi syarat meraih gelar Master of Business Administration (MBA) adalah 44 SKS, yang terdiri dari 24 SKS mata kuliah inti, 12 SKS mata kuliah konsentrasi, 3 SKS Immersion, 1 SKS Workshop Tesis, 3 SKS Tesis dan 1 SKS Publikasi.
