Ngobrol @Tempo: Business Startup Workshop and Seminar

Koran Tempo together with Master in Management Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MM FEB UGM) Yogyakarta managed Business Startup Workshop and Seminar. The events were held for 2 days on September 20-21, 2018.

On the first day, Tempo held a workshop entitled “Smart Generation”. There were 3 speakers i.e. Ridha Nurul Azizah (VP Investor Relations of Kafegama Entrepreneur Forum) who explained the basic character for developing startup, Setiyo Birowo (VP Startup Relations of Kafegama Entrepreneur Forum) who brought the topic of innovation for lean startup, and Bagoes Kresnawan (Founder and Content Creator of Hunting Pasar) who shared the way to use photography to create marketing content. Most of the participants were students of MM FEB UGM who ran their businesses in fashion and culinary industries. They found the sessions useful, moreover the last one which enabled them to practice the techniques to produce eye-catching product photos for stronger visual marketing strategy.

The events of Ngobrol @Tempo supported by Bank BRI and Kafegama Entrepreneur Forum (KEF) was continued to the following day in broader scope of participant. Coming up with the phenomenon of developing business startup in Indonesia, especially among the millenials, Koran Tempo targetted the seminar for students of MM FEB UGM.

Before starting the main agenda, MMSA Band opened the seminar by presenting some songs for the audiences. A welcome speech from Philipus Parera, Executive Editor of Koran Tempo, and Dr. Hani Handoko, M.B.A., Director of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta, initiated the agenda. Bearing the theme of “Finding Problems, Exploring Business Ideas”, the seminar delivered 3 interesting speakers. They were Sebastian Alex, Local Officer of 1000 Digital Startup National Movement as well as Program Manager of Innovative Academy, Fadli Wilihandarwo, CEO of Pasienia as well as Program Manager of 1000 Digital Startup National Movement, and Bayu Sutikno, Cand. Merc., Deputy Director of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta.

In the end of the seminar, Tempo chose 3 users who shared the seminar up on their Twitter account. In addition, all of the participants were rewarded certificates, souvenirs, and chances to take photo with the moderator and speakers of the seminar.
