Coming for the third time, Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka conducted a training at Master in Management Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MM FEB UGM) Yogyakarta. The training took the topic of “Strategic Management for Public Sector” and completed with visiting local companies in Yogyakarta and Jakarta to implement the knowledge gained from the class sessions in MM FEB UGM.
On Tuesday January 30, 2018, the 42 training participants from PIM and MM FEB UGM team held a closing ceremony with an opening speech from Dr. Hani Handoko, M.B.A. as the Director of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta. Hani expressed his happiness to be able to host the training and expected the participants to feel comfortable in experiencing and learning the knowledge to be implemented back in Sri Lanka. A warm gratitude was presented to Dilhan Virendra Goonetilleke who was the Program Coordinator of PIM and all training participants. He hoped to meet them in the future.
Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin, the Director of MM FEB UGM Jakarta, and Bayu Sutikno, Cand.Merc., Ph.D. attended and congratulated the training participants during the certificate hand over session. Mahendra Priyantha Deeyamulla, during his testimonial speech, revealed his happiness in joining the training program. In the end, Mahendra extended his gratitude to the training host since the training gave him inspiration and different perspective of insight.
