The Strategic Management for Public Sector training held on December 10-15, 2018 in Yogyakarta and Jakarta for Batch V had been a factual validation of the attractiveness of the training program. It consisted of activities both in and outside of classroom such as company visit and cultural program.
On December 12, 2018, closing ceremony of the training program was held right before the participants leave Yogyakarta for Jakarta. It was attended by Dr. T. Hani Handoko, M.B.A., and Bayu Sutikno, Cand.Merc., Ph.D. as the Board of Directors of Master in Management Faculty of Economics and Business (MM FEB UGM) Yogyakarta as well as Dilhan Virendra Goonetilleke as the training coordinator of Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka.
Hani Handoko congratulated the participants for completing the training successfully. He granted them alumni of MM FEB UGM and would welcome them to return to campus in the future. In addition, he extended his gratitude to Dilhan Goonetilleke for arranging the training program for both institutions. “We are beyond proud for being able to facilitate this training and provide you the updated knowledge and insight on strategic management for public sector. I hope you enjoy your learning experience and cultural immersion in Yogyakarta,” said Hani.
Each and everyone of the participants received a certificate from Hani Handoko as an official acknowledgement for completing the training. They also recalled their memory during the training when they watched a video documentation. Then, Rajapakshage Sunethra Gunawardhana represented her training colleagues to thank MM FEB UGM for the extensive support, full-packed facilities, and applicable knowledge. She added that the visit to Mount Merapi Museum and the Ramayana Ballet show were such beautiful memories that they would never forget.
