The Inauguration of the Management of KAFEGAMA MM UGM on Sunday (24/01/2021) was held online. The national anthem Indonesia Raya and Gadjah Mada Hymne started the inauguration of the MM UGM Kafegama Management. The Executive Secretary of Kafegama MM UGM Laode started to open, followed by the reading of the inauguration manuscript by Ganjar Pranowo as the General Chairperson of PP Kagama and the signing of the Inauguration documents by Destiawan Soewardjono as the Chairperson of Kafegama MM UGM for the 2020-2023 period.
Destiawan said that the core of the activities carried out was related to social activities and supporting almamater activities so that alumni and almamater activities run well. Destiawan also plans in the future to open branches of Kafegama MM UGM abroad so that management activities provide a wider reach. “Please hope that the management of Kafegama MM UGM for the 2020-2023 service period will run well and I hope that at the end of the management will be able to provide the best for the almamater, both the almamater of Kafegama MM UGM itself and UGM in general,” he said.
Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin as Director of MM FEB UGM Jakarta Campus revealed that MM UGM is the best campus today in Indonesia, not claiming it himself, but this is based on the QS World Ranking where MM UGM is the only MBA that is included in the top 250 QS World Rankings. MM UGM is also the first MBA business school to get AACSB international accreditation and be accredited Excellence by BAN-PT. “This achievement is inseparable from the role of MM FEB UGM alumni, and I see the synergy between alumni and the campus is extraordinary,” said Tandelilin. Tandelilin also hopes that the management of Kafegama MM UGM for the 2020-2023 period will be given convenience services in carrying out its duties properly.
Ganjar Pranowo as the Head of PP Kagama congratulated Destiawan Soewardjono, and expressed his gratitude to Ikang Fawzi, because he was still willing to join the Management of Kafegama MM this period. “I invite Kafegama MM to be able to contribute to the country because currently, Indonesia is in a difficult position because of the Covid-19,” he continued. Ganjar talked about how proud he was when he returned to UGM, where he saw Prof. Kuwat Triyatna created GeNose a coronavirus detection tool made by experts from UGM, where GeNose is artificial intelligence, very cheap price, easy procurement, and only takes 3 minutes to detect Covid-19.
