To deepen knowledge in the field of industry, MM FEB UGM once again presented a well-known Indonesian CEO from PTPN XII, namely Siwi Peni, S.Si., M.M. at the Executive Series event held on Friday, 7 May 2021 at 13.00-15.30 online which was attended by MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta and Jakarta students.
Eko Suwardi, Ph.D. started this event by greeting all the participants. “It is an honor, an honor for the return of Mrs. Peni to this campus, thank you for taking the time to share knowledge with our juniors,” said Eko. Eko considered that it was one of the alumni’s devotions to the campus as stated in Hymne Gadjah Mada. “And it is something meaningful for us, lecturers, students, and the civitas academica of MM FEB UGM for the knowledge that you share on this occasion,” Eko continued.
The event was continued with the handing over of souvenirs to the speaker represented by Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin as the Head of Study Program of MM FEB UGM. Tandelilin said that this is an appreciation from MM FEB UGM, and we are very proud of the presence of Mrs. Peni as a UGM alumnus who currently serves as the CEO of PTPN XII. “I hope that alumni can always provide benefits to others and this country,” said Tandelilin.
Bayu Sutikno, Ph.D. as the Secretary of Study Program of MM FEB UGM and as the moderator at this event read out the CV of the speaker who is quite qualified in carrying out her long career until he currently serves as the President Director of PTPN IV from 21 August 2017 to 25 May 2020.
Siwi Peni as the speaker started sharing how to realize dreams. “We must have a dream, like what I did at that time, I had a dream to work at BNI to get a scholarship to continue studying at MM FEB UGM to become Director and everything came true,” she said. “Studied at MM FEB UGM provide evidence, not just promises,” she said. Siwi added his presentation with a brief history of PTPN XII and also about the activities, challenges, strategies in the plantation industry. “The keys to successful change are People, Process, and Technology,” said Siwi.
