To foster sportsmanship, fellowship and teamwork, and maintain strong immunity as well, MMSA and Badminton Club MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus held Badminton tournament entitled “Badminton Competition VirtuFest”. This event was held at MM UGM Leadership Hall on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
The Covid-19 pandemic which delayed the holding of regular sports week events has further increased the enthusiasm of MMUGM students to take part in this event. In addition, this event will be the first student event which held at the Leadership Hall and of course this event was held with strict health protocols.
The event was opened by the deputy of the manager of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta, Bayu Sutikno, Ph.D., signed with the shuttlecock beating in exhibition party which was quite exciting between Bayu and student representative.
The event will include competitions in men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles with a total of 35 participants. The final match watch with the men’s singles branch was won by Dwi Kisworo, the men’s doubles event was won by Eddy and Dwi Kisworo, the women’s singles branch was won by Sarah Marietta Christy, the women’s doubles branch was won by Sarah Marietta Christy and Angela Dea, and the mixed doubles branch was won by the couple Dwi Kisworo and Ira Ardiana Yunianti.
