Although the Covid-19 pandemic has not ended, the alumni ceremony for the April 2021 graduation period still be held online on Thursday (22/04/2021) and the event ran smoothly and solemnly. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D. as the Director of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, informed that 226 students who has graduated for the April 2021 period consist of 96 graduates from the Yogyakarta Campus, and 130 graduates from the Jakarta Campus. “I congratulate the graduates and their families for this achievement,” Amin said. At this graduation, two graduates were recorded as The Best Graduate, namely Leliantika Handitya Deastri from batch MBA 74 Yogyakarta and Kusuma Aji Nugraha from batch IMBA 72 Yogyakarta with the same GPA of 3.97.
Kusuma Aji Nugraha, M.B.A. who represented as graduates in his speech said that getting the opportunity to become a student of MM FEB UGM was a very valuable and beneficial experience for him. “During my study at MM FEB UGM, I was allowed to continue my education at one of the best universities in Australia, namely the University of Melbourne in a year as part of the Dual Degree Program that I took,” he said. “The guidance from the lecturers at MM FEB UGM was very helpful for me so I was able to complete my education in Australia with satisfactory results,” he continued. Kusuma said that the concentration of Human Resources and Organization that he chose was easy to implement in his work, thus providing benefits for both the individual and the institution where he worked (Ministry of Finance). Kusuma closed his remarks by saying that the disciplined lecture activities at MM FEB UGM with an interactive learning process encourage students to have critical thinking skills and experience working together with colleagues at MM FEB UGM, and this has helped him a lot in developing his abilities and skills.
Eko Suwardi, Ph.D. the Dean of FEB UGM in his remarks advised maintaining the values of UGM, FEB’s, and MM FEB UGM’s, including Integrity, Professionalism, Objectivity, Social Concern. “You as alumni will become MM FEB UGM ambassadors in the community, be good ambassadors, give the best information about MM FEB UGM to your colleagues, friends, and relatives,” said Eko. “Don’t forget, at a later time, we will invite you all back to the MM FEB UGM campus to provide practical knowledge that you have achieved in your work, then we will share with all younger students in the Executive Series activities,” said Eko. “Once again, we congratulate you, hopefully, you can uphold your integrity and provide the maximum benefit to the community and also the institution where you work,” said Eko ending his remarks.
