The 33rd Anniversary of MM FEB UGM which was held on July 2, 2021, was still celebrated online and was attended by the Dean of FEB UGM, lecturers, student representatives, alumni representatives, and all staff of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta, Jakarta, and Wisma MM UGM in Zoom and Youtube channels.
Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin, Ph.D. as the Director of MM FEB UGM Jakarta Campus said that so many things happen up and down during 33 years of the existence of MM FEB UGM. Tandelilin expressed his gratitude to the University, the Senate, the Dean, Deputy Deans, Head and Secretary of the Departments, the Chair and Secretary of Study Programs within FEB UGM, and the extended family of MM FEB UGM alumni who accompany the journey of MM FEB UGM. “MM FEB UGM can develop very fast because the network of partnerships with alumni, and alumni provide a lot of support and motivation to MM through the extraordinary success achieved by alumni,” he said. “The collaboration between alumni and MM FEB UGM is very close and this synergy is building MM’s reputation,” he continued. Tandelilin informed that in this 33rd Anniversary, MM FEB UGM has held several activities including social services, Al-Quran recitation, and the launching of the 7th Series of CFBC case books. MM FEB UGM has also inaugurated the Leadership Hall as one of the facilities for preparing MM FEB UGM students to be great leaders, and the ASEAN Master in Sustainability Management class has also kicked off, which is a collaborative program between the ASEAN University Network (AUN), Agder University Norway, and Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Eko Suwardi, Ph.D. as the Dean of FEB UGM, expressed his gratitude for the struggle of the founders of MM FEB UGM and their administrators who strongly support the development of the MM FEB UGM. “MM FEB UGM since its establishment until now has succeeded in producing many graduates and it has been proven that its graduates spread kindness to the community as leaders in their respective fields, and the reputation of MM with FEB UGM is also very good in the national and international coverage with its AACSB accreditation and QS World MBA Ranking”, he explained. Eko hopes that this anniversary will be a momentum for the transformation of the MM FEB UGM to become better and become more digitalized. The event continued with Tumpeng rice cutting by the Dean of FEB UGM which was handed over to the Directors of the MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta and Jakarta campuses virtually.
Amin Wibowo, Ph.D. as the Director of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus also exposed MM FEB UGM publishes case books every year and this year is the 7th Series of CFBC case books. “This book is a collection of business cases that help students’ skills in conducting managerial analysis and provide a practical overview to readers and even these case books have been used by more than 30 MM study programs that are members of APMMI”, Amin continued. “As a response to AACSB’s suggestion, all case books have been translated into English so hopefully they will become a learning material for business schools in various countries,” he concluded.
The event continued with giving the Best Employees Award and Service Time Award of 10, 15, 20, and 30 years of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta, Jakarta, and Wisma MM staffs and ended with closing pray and photo sessions. (Dwi; Public Relations/Irvan; Photo/Translator; Sheila).
