Graduation Ceremony July 2021: MM FEB UGM Alumni as Strategic Business Leaders

The Graduation Ceremony at MM FEB UGM in the period of July 2021 is still held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The event took place on Thursday, July 28, 2021.

Prof. EduardusTandelilin, Ph.D. as the Director MM FEB UGM Jakarta Campus delivered the Progress Report of Yogyakarta Campus and Jakarta Campus achievement and read out the Cumlaudegraduates. “Congratulations to the Graduators and their families as well as the institutionswho send their students here, which today we officially return all you to your family and your institution,” said Tandelilin. The graduates for the July 2021 period consist of 46 graduates from Yogyakarta Campus and 53 graduates from Jakarta Campus, totaling of 99 graduates, and 29 of them are graduated with Cumlaude honors. The Best Graduates for this period areAndi Krishna Arinaldi from Jakarta Campus and Hendra Wiryawan from Yogyakarta Campus, both of them achieve a GPA of 3.98.

Hendra Wiryawan as a representative of the graduates express his gratitude to all members of the MM FEB UGM community. “I never imagine that we reach this point, with all the difficulties we faced during pandemic Covid-19 which changing the lectures, but we have gone through the obstacles and graduatedfrom one of the best business schools in Indonesia,” said Hendra. “In this campus, we are forged and formed to become Strategic Business Leaders who have integrity, creativity, and knowledge to serve the community in accordance with the mission of MM FEB UGM,” he said. “This is very necessary to face business challenges for now and also in the future, hopefully with knowledge we have gained, we can take various steps to help the community in facing these challenges by being able to think creatively, innovatively, and also adaptively to meet these challenges. Besides, being able to survive in the current situation,” said Hendra. “It is an honor that we pass the study at MM FEB UGM which AACSBaccredited and get an MBA degree,” he continued.

EkoSuwardi, Ph.D. as the Dean of FEB UGM also congratulates the graduates, their families, and the sender institutions. Eko said that this is the beginning of the journey to plunge into the real world. Eko added that for institution graduates, this is an opportunity to return and devote to the institution, while for new graduates, this is an opportunity to create jobs. Eko advised, “Keep the values of UGM, FEB, and MM FEB UGM values, namely Integrity, Professionalism, Objectivity, Social Concern, and Academic Freedom”. “All of youcan fly to everywhere on this earth, give the maximum benefit to others, but one thing must be remembered, do not damage the values,” said Eko ending his speech.
