The Executive Series has always been one of the flagship programs that enhances insight to MM FEB UGM students about the business world and an understanding of the application of management knowledge into business practice requires a forum that involves speakers from business practitioners.
Bank Indonesia collaborate with the Laboratory of Economics FEB UGM and Executive Series MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta, this time bringing Bank Indonesia Mengajar 2022 x SinarKU to the topic “Consolidating Synergy and Innovation for Economic Recovery”. Governor of Bank Indonesia, Dr. Perry Warjiyo as one of the alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM became a speaker at the Friday afternoon activity (26/08/2022).
Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada for the period 2022-2027, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K)., Ph.D., gave a speech before the public lecture started. “Gadjah Mada University welcomes the implementation of this program as an effort to broaden students’ knowledge regarding the role of the central bank in the economy, updating economic conditions and also Bank Indonesia’s policy response,” she said. Ova also added that along with the rapid development of the global ecosystem, it is expected to become adaptive, collaborative, and innovative person to meet any changes that have occurred.
Bank Indonesia Mengajar 2022 is one concrete step to realizing its dedication to education. Before delivering the material, Perry Warjiyo carried out a symbolic handover of the Bank Indonesia Social Program (PSBI) to Universitas Gadjah Mada, represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, Prof. Didi Achjari, Ph.D. The support is in the form of educational assistance support facilities.
The presentation of the material was escorted by moderator Muhammad Fawdy Renardi Wahyu, S.E., M.Sc., FEB Lecturer/Macroeconomics Dashboard Researcher, from the Department of Economics, FEB UGM. Following the topic, Perry explained the Role of Bank Indonesia in the Economy, National Policy Mix Framework & BI, Leading Digital Central Bank Innovations, Recent Economic Challenges, and Policy Mix Synergy Responses. “Bank Indonesia is a central bank established by the constitution as one of the 1945 Constitution to maintain stability, encourage economic growth, synergize with the government and related authorities,” he added.
