Quality Assurance Unit of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (UJM FEB UGM) conducted accreditation socialization on November 3, 2023. Located in the Sukadji Ranuwihardjo Auditorium building, the event entitled LAMEMBA-AASCB Dissemination presented Nofie Iman Vidya Kemal, Ph.D, Vice Chairperson of UJM FEB UGM, as the speaker. Also present were Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., and Rocky Adiguna, Ph.D., as the Deputy Director of the Master of Business Administration Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM).
This activity aims to provide complete information about what accreditation is to students. Accreditation is important because it reflects the quality of education in an educational institution. Accredited educational institutions, the diploma also has a higher rank and selling value in the world of work.
“Currently, we have 2 Accreditations, National and International. For national, there is BAN-PT, but it has been discontinued and replaced with LAM-EMBA, and for international, there is AACSB.” Prof. Amin said. He also explained the importance of students understanding this because students will also be assessed by LAMEMBA and AACSB assessors. Prof. Amin hopes that all parties will strive to make the MBA FEB UGM study program excellent and always at the forefront.
Nofie Iman, a speaker at this event, said, “This accreditation is not merely a label, but also a reflection that there is an increase in institutional quality.” He also said that this event is one of the efforts of the Quality Assurance Unit of FEB UGM in facing this accreditation.
