The Master of Business Administration Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) once again held a candidate farewell night known as Malam Pelepasan Calon Wisudawan (MPCW) at the MBA FEB UGM Plaza, Yogyakarta campus on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. The event was attended by the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM Dean’s Office, Management Department Administrators, MBA FEB UGM Program Administrators, faculty members, alumni, prospective graduates, and the families of prospective graduates. A total of 149 prospective graduates, comprising 66 students from the Yogyakarta campus and 83 from the Jakarta campus, successfully concluded their academic journey.
Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., as Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, inaugurated the event proudly, declaring, “Congratulations to the prospective graduates and their families.”. He mentioned that of the total prospective graduates, 59% were men and 41% were women. Among them, 64 people achieved the cum laude title, with Caren Tjahjadi winning Best Graduate with a GPA of 3.98 and with a study period of 1 Year, 8 Months, 5 Days.
During the Best Graduation Speech session, Caren Tjahjadi expressed her appreciation to family, friends, and lecturers who have provided support and prayers during her study journey. “With the capital of knowledge and experience that we have gained, we must then try to prove that we are not ordinary alumni, but we are excellent individuals and deserve to compete by continuing to make achievements that become assets for the progress of a nation and make UGM proud in a wider scope,” as stated by Tjahjadi.
Risto Samosir, M.M., Secretary General of the Keluarga Alumni Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis Universitas Gajah Mada Program Studi Magister Manajemen (KAFEGAMA-MM), who was also present, congratulated the prospective graduates and encouraged them to register with KAFEGAMA MM via the KAFEGAMA MM website. This registration, he emphasized, would facilitate the establishment of a more robust network with their seniors.
Prof. Didi Achjari, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, felicitated the prospective graduates who will participate in the graduation ceremony at the Grha Sabha Pramana building on January 24, 2024. “On this occasion, we congratulate the prospective graduates for enduring a long journey until you can all reach this glorious point. May what has been obtained can be applied in your lives, and may you can all remain firm in the values of UGM and FEB.” Prof. Didi Achjari asserted.
The event concluded with congratulatory remarks from the ranks of the Dean of FEB UGM, Department of Management FEB UGM, Board of Directors of MBA FEB UGM, lecturers, and representatives of MBA FEB UGM alumni to all prospective graduates. (PR/Documentation: Danis)
