Master of Business Administration Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) held another Executive Series with the theme “Unlock Your Future with Financial Intelligence” on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Sukadji Ranuwihardjo Auditorium MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta campus. This event is part of a series of MBA Fest 8.0 activities, MBA Talk, and presents Wahyudi Darmawan, President Director of PT BRI Multifinance Indonesia, as a speaker.
This Executive Series focused on wealth management strategies in a volatile market. Wahyudi began by explaining the importance of a holistic and strategic approach to anticipating the VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity) component.
Furthermore, Wahyudi discussed the importance of financial intelligence in achieving financial success. He defined financial intelligence as managing money wisely and achieving financial goals. This presentation was delivered using the Stages to Financial Freedom chart, from childhood to retirement.
“There are three important stages in wealth management to achieve financial success: wealth protection & preservation, wealth growth & accumulation, and wealth distribution & transition. By understanding the aspects of these stages, we can make strategic and effective decisions in both business and personal life,” said Wahyudi.
Wahyudi also emphasized the importance of having life, general, and health insurance to protect oneself and family from financial risks. He also encouraged participants to plan the suitable investment to increase wealth in the long run.
Closing his presentation, Wahyudi delivered an inspirational quote for the participants, especially the younger generation: “The goal is to be rich and not only to look rich.” This quote encourages participants to build a good mentality in managing finances.
The Executive Series is expected to help participants improve their understanding of financial intelligence and apply it in their daily lives.
