Two Master of Business Administration students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) achieved a remarkable feat, securing third place in the highly esteemed ANGEL International Innovation Competition. This prestigious competition, organized by ASEAN Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership (ANGEL) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, on Monday, June 10, 2024, is a testament to their exceptional innovation and business acumen.
Muhammad Eko Andriyansyah and Hendy Gusando, who are WKP Corp Team members, competed after winning first place in the Green Business Plan 8.0 held by the Sustainability Club MBA FEB UGM. The WKP Corp team is a multidisciplinary group, in addition to Eko and Hendy from the MBA FEB UGM Study Program, there are Naura Paramitha Cindy Ardyah and Suci Dwi Monda from the UGM Biotechnology Master Program.
The university community, led by Rocky Adiguna, Secretary of MBA FEB UGM, is filled with pride for the students’ international achievements. “We are immensely proud and extend our heartfelt congratulations to WKP Corp for their outstanding performance, securing the 3rd place in this international innovation competition,” he said. He further highlighted that the diversity of students’ fields of study and expertise was a key factor in the team’s success, underscoring the university’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
Muhammad Eko Andriyansyah also thanked the faculty team, especially the mentor of the WKP Corp Team, Rokhima Rostiani, M.Mgt. and MBA FEB UGM, for their support. “Achieving the second runner-up position proves that hard work, innovation, and perseverance are the keys to success. We are very grateful and have learned a lot from ASEAN innovators and feedback from the judges,” he said.
The ANGEL International Innovation Competition is a platform for students to showcase their innovative thinking, particularly in sustainable business, in preparation for a greener future.
