Farewell Night for Graduate Candidates July 2024

The Master of Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) once again held the Farewell Night for Graduate Candidates (MPCW) at the MBA FEB UGM Plaza, Yogyakarta campus on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The event was attended by the FEB UGM Dean, Management Department Administrators, MBA FEB UGM Program Administrators, lecturers, alumni, graduate candidates, and their families. A total of 117 graduate candidates, consisting of 60 students from the Yogyakarta campus and 57 students from the Jakarta campus, successfully completed their studies.

Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., as the Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, proudly opened the event, saying, “Tonight is a joyous night for all of us, it is a very happy moment after several semesters of the graduate candidates progressing in their studies.” He stated that of the total graduate candidates, 56% are male and 44% are female. Among them, 34 graduates earned cum laude honors, with Agnes Puspita Sari achieving the Best Graduate title with a GPA of 3.97, completing her studies in 1 year, 7 months, and 3 days.

During the Best Graduation Speech session, Agnes Puspita Sari expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, and lecturers for their support and prayers throughout her academic journey. “On this bright night with shining lights and radiant smiles, we express our gratitude to Allah SWT. for His blessings, allowing us all to gather here in good health and happiness. Fellow graduates, this is not just about our academic achievements but also about the long journey we have traveled together. We need to reflect on how we provide value and benefit, and how we can create optimistic opportunities in our environment,” she said.

Prof. Didi Achjari, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, delivered a message to the graduate candidates who will participate in the graduation ceremony at the Grha Sabha Pramana building on July 24, 2024. “To the prospective alumni, what you have gained in this MBA program is expected to be beneficial not only for yourselves but also to bring blessings to our country, Indonesia, and always uphold the deeply rooted and soaring high values of UGM,” Didi said. He also invited the graduate candidates to join the KAFEGAMA MM alumni family to expand their networking.

The event concluded with congratulations from the FEB UGM Dean, Management Department Administrators, MBA FEB UGM Program Administrators, lecturers, and MBA FEB UGM alumni representatives to all the graduate candidates.
