On Friday (September 20, 2024), the MBA Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Gadjah Mada University (MBA FEB UGM) Jakarta Campus held its regular event, the Executive Series. This program is designed to enhance students’ soft skills and broaden their horizons. This session featured Teguh Kurniawan Harmanda, D.NIIT., S.Kom., M.Ec.Dev., the Chief Executive Officer of PT Peruri Digital Security (a State-Owned Enterprise), and was attended by 315 students in person and 145 students online via Zoom Meeting.
With the theme “Value of Wave,” the discussion focused on the importance of technology in human life and the need to uphold ethics and morals in its development. It also addressed the challenges the government faces in implementing digitalization, the need for better personal data protection, and the potential for domestic infrastructure. Manda emphasized that adapting to change and embracing new technologies has allowed him to drive transformation in his company and make it more competitive.
Additionally, Manda discussed how to tackle the challenges faced in building a business and the transformation processes at Peruri Digital Security. He highlighted the importance of acknowledging mistakes, being open to criticism, and possessing strategic thinking and leadership skills to enhance business competitiveness. At the end of the meeting, Manda advised that the challenges faced by the technology industry need to emphasize a balance between product quality and proper evaluation and decision-making.
