The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), once again launched its certification program in finance: the Certified Financial Planner (CFP). This year, the CFP program at MBA FEB UGM entered its 23rd cohort, with the first session starting on Saturday, September 14, 2024. A total of 16 enthusiastic participants have enrolled in this program.
Himawan Adi Hartanto, Coordinator of the CFP Program at MBA FEB UGM, explained that while many individuals claim to be financial planners with CFP backgrounds, their competencies may not necessarily meet international standards. “The CFP program offered at MBA FEB UGM is the largest of its kind in Indonesia. I congratulate all the participants—you’re in the right place to deepen your knowledge and skills in financial planning,” said Himawan.
Meanwhile, Rocky Adiguna, Ph.D., Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM, welcomed the participants of the 23rd CFP cohort. “This partnership, which has been established for over 10 years, demonstrates the significant impact we have had on the financial industry in Indonesia. Congratulations to all participants. I hope the knowledge gained will be a blessing and beneficial for your future,” said Rocky in his welcoming speech.
The 23rd cohort of the CFP program opened with a teaching session led by Himawan Adi Hartanto. He covered various important topics, including basic financial concepts, financial planning, investment, taxation, and techniques for preparing personal financial plans. The participants showed great enthusiasm, as evidenced by their active interaction and the many questions posed during the session, creating a dynamic and interactive classroom environment.
