MBA FEB UGM January 2025 Graduates Prepare to Embrace Global Challenges and Build Promising Careers

The Graduation Farewell Ceremony for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (FEB UGM) was successfully held in a grand manner for the January 2025 cohort. The ceremony, which took place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Plaza Belakang MBA FEB UGM on the Yogyakarta campus, was filled with euphoria and enthusiasm from the 124 graduating students. The event was attended by the Dean’s Office of FEB UGM, Management Department Heads of FEB UGM, MBA Program Management, faculty members, alumni, graduates, and their families. The graduates consisted of 68 students from the Yogyakarta campus and 56 students from the Jakarta campus, all of whom successfully completed their studies for this graduation period.

Prof. Dr. Eduardus Tandelilin, M.B.A., Director of MBA FEB UGM Jakarta campus, who is often called Prof. Ted, expressed his pride in the graduates during his speech. “More than 16,000 students have successfully completed their education and earned degrees in the Master of Management program. This period, we proudly graduate 124 students,” Prof. Ted said.

Prof. Ted also reported on the outstanding achievements of the graduates in this cohort. Of the 124 students, 54 have achieved cum laude honors. Ilham Budi Kurniawan from the JOG-MBA-82 class was named the Best Graduate, having earned a perfect GPA of 4.00.

In his speech representing all the graduates, Ilham Budi Kurniawan expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, and professors for their support and prayers throughout his academic journey. “Throughout this journey, I truly found love in Yogyakarta. A deep love, rooted in this place and the people who made my experience so meaningful. Congratulations to my fellow graduates who have fought alongside me. This is just the beginning; may success always accompany us all,” Ilham said.

The January 2025 MPCW event was graced by a special guest, Intan Ayu Kartika, M.M., CEO of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) and representative of the Gadjah Mada University Alumni Association of the Master of Business Administration (KAGAMA MBA). She delivered an important message: “Networking is essential. Networking will be very helpful when we want to learn, when we want to develop our careers, and when we want to broaden our horizons, so always be open to networking.” She also encouraged the graduates to attend future KAGAMA MBA events.

The event continued with remarks from the Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, S.E., M.Com., Ak., CA., who shared a message with the graduates: “Alhamdulillah, tonight the weather is clear, and we are grateful to be gathered here for this graduation farewell. We are proud of the achievements of all the graduates. Remain humble and continue learning to achieve even greater success.”

The ceremony concluded with a joyful atmosphere, filled with congratulations. This heartfelt and joyful moment marked a new beginning for the graduates as they prepare to contribute to their professional lives and society. Congratulations to all the graduates; a bright future awaits you.
