The Master of Business Administration Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), Yogyakarta Campus, once again held its Executive Series event. The session took place on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Sukadji Ranuwihardjo Auditorium, MBA FEB UGM, carrying the theme “Aligning People and Strategy: InJourney Airports’ Journey towards Human Capital Sustainability.”
The event featured Achmad Syahir, S.H., M.B.A., IAP, CPHR, Director of Human Capital at PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports), as the speaker, and was moderated by Fani Pramuditya, S.E., M.B.A., a faculty member of MBA FEB UGM.
The session was officially opened by Dr. Rocky Adiguna, Board of Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus. “Today is very special as we are welcoming back our alumnus, Mr. Achmad Syahir,” said Dr. Rocky. He also added that the topic of this Executive Series is particularly engaging as it highlights the journey and human capital challenges faced by InJourney Airports.
In his presentation, Syahir shared the background of the establishment of InJourney Airports, emphasizing its role as the “face of the nation.” “We always say that airports are the face of a country. For many tourists or foreigners, their first encounter with Indonesia starts at the airport—making it the nation’s first impression,” he explained. InJourney Airports is committed to providing world-class airport facilities that are safe, comfortable, and sustainable throughout the country.
With a vision to become a world-class airport operator that delivers services with Indonesian character, InJourney Airports positions itself as a value creator, the face of the nation, and an agent of development. The company strives not only to prioritize customer service but also to care deeply for its employees—including mental health support. This Executive Series concluded with an enthusiastic Q&A session from MBA FEB UGM students, who engaged actively with the speaker and explored more about the company’s initiatives.
