The Master of Business Administration Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) Yogyakarta Campus, reaffirmed its commitment to promoting innovation and sustainability through the successful organization of the 2nd MBA Catalyst Summit 2025. This prestigious event carries the theme “Connectivity in Sustainable Growth,” which took place on July 5, 2025, at the Sukadji Ranuwihardjo Auditorium, MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta. The summit served as a platform for collaboration among MBA students from leading universities in Indonesia. The event was hosted by the MBA Student Association (MBA SA) UGM Yogyakarta in partnership with the MBA SA UGM Jakarta, the Student Committee of the Master of Management at Universitas Indonesia, and the MBA Student Association of Institut Teknologi Bandung.
The event featured three main sessions addressing strategic issues. The first session, titled “Empowering Communities: A Foundation for Inclusive Economic Partnerships,” featured Marcus Budimulia, Chief Human Resources Officer at Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) Sinarmas as the speaker and Rocky Adiguna, Ph.D, Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta, serving as moderator. The second session, “Beyond Balance: Bridging Environmental Stewardship and Social Responsibility,” was presented by Andy Bahari, National Leader of World Clean-up Day Indonesia and Climate Reality Leader, and moderated by Sophie Kirana, Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2024 and 4th Runner-Up Miss International 2024. The third session, titled “Paving a New Era of Sustainability, Growth & Prosperity,” was delivered by Muhammad Awaluddin, Vice President Director of PT. Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, moderated by Muhammad Azizi Nun, Head of Knowledge Project Manager at PT. Sharing Vision Indonesia.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., a member of the Board of Directors of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta, emphasized the significance of this being the second summit and expressed hope for more such events in the future. “I truly appreciate this initiative. Right now, you may come from different business schools, but once you enter the professional world, you’ll work with alumni from various institutions. Who knows, you might work at Sinarmas, and your colleague might be a graduate not from Gadjah Mada, not from ITB, nor UI,” he remarked. Prof. Amin underscored that such collaborations are essential for every institution.
This event was designed as a platform to bring together industry leaders, academics, professionals, and students to engage in discussions and share insights on the role of connectivity in driving sustainable economic growth. With the successful hosting of the 2nd MBA Catalyst Summit 2025, MBA FEB UGM continues to solidify its position as a leading center for adaptive, progressive, and future-oriented business education.
