The Master of Business Administration Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), welcomed students from the University of Antwerp, Belgium, to the 2025 Summer Course Program. The program is held from July 7 to 18, 2025, across two locations: the MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta and Jakarta campuses. Carrying the theme “Doing Business in South-East Asia,” this Summer Course is designed to provide international students with a comprehensive understanding of how culture, tradition, and social dynamics influence business practices in developing countries.
This program is a collaborative initiative between the MBA FEB UGM and the University of Antwerp, aimed at introducing the business environment, economic landscape, and cultural richness of the Southeast Asian region, particularly Indonesia.
Over two intensive weeks, participants will engage in both academic and cultural activities. At the Yogyakarta campus, the program focuses on introducing Indonesian culture and traditional business practices, including visits to local entrepreneurs and cultural institutions.
Meanwhile, at the Jakarta campus, participants will gain deeper insights into modern business practices, multinational corporate strategies, and market dynamics in the nation’s economic center. The program also includes public lectures, panel discussions, and field visits to corporate partners and business institutions.
This collaboration reflects MBA FEB UGM’s commitment to strengthening global networks and serving as a hub for cross-border knowledge exchange. Through this program, students from the University of Antwerp not only gain valuable academic experience but also firsthand exposure to the complexities of business and cultural life in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia.
