The Master of Business Administration Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Gadjah Mada University (MBA FEB UGM) is once again holding the AcadeMix Culture event on Saturday, August 16, 2025. The event will take place in Brayut Tourism Village, Sleman, Yogyakarta, involving incoming students and International MBA (IMBA) FEB UGM students.
AcadeMix Culture is a regular agenda aimed at introducing Indonesian cultural heritage to students. The event began with a speech by Rocky Adiguna, Ph.D., Secretary of the MBA FEB UGM Program, before the group departed for Brayut Tourism Village. In his speech, Rocky explained, “AcadeMix Culture comes from the words Academy and Mix, which means combining and getting to know each other’s cultures. My hope is that all students remain healthy and safe until the end of the activity and can enjoy this event well,” he said.
Various traditional cultural activities were presented, ranging from batik making, janur craft making, to traditional culinary cooking. All activities were carried out in groups so that students could interact more and build togetherness. After a lunch break, the event continued with traditional dance performances and games, which provided an interactive and enjoyable experience.
This activity was not only a cultural introduction but also a means of building collaboration among students. The event concluded with a return trip to the MBA FEB UGM campus in the afternoon. Through AcadeMix Culture, MBA FEB UGM students are expected to better understand the value of Indonesian local wisdom and be ready to face global challenges based on the spirit of collaboration.
