The Indonesian Master of Management Program Alliance holds a Financial Planning Workshop Series titled “Pathway for Prosperity for Academics.” Present as speakers were Mrs. Handayani, Director of Consumer Business at Bank Rakyat Indonesia; Mr. Damar Latri Setiawan, Main Director of Pegadaian; and Mr. Iwan Pasila, Main Director of BRI Life Insurance.
Participants in this event were lecturers, educational staff, and students from 61 APMMI member Master of Management programs. The theme presented is essential because it focuses on a crucial aspect often ignored in academic circles: personal finance and investment. Academics face unique financial challenges, including managing research grants, planning retirement, and making wise investment decisions. By inviting renowned speakers who are experts in investment strategies, this workshop series can provide the knowledge and guidance needed to secure their financial well-being.
Divided into three sessions, namely on 14, 21, and 22 July 2023, the “Pathway for Prosperity for Academics” workshop series provides an understanding of investment strategies, asset diversification, and preparation before entering retirement age; pawnshops alternative funding and investment; and the importance of insurance protection to ensure financial security and welfare.
