The MBA FEB UGM Jakarta recently held the New Student Orientation for the February 2025 intake. This orientation was for the MBA class 58, EMBA 58, SEMBA 50, and IEMBA 20, and took place over two days: Saturday, January 25, 2025, and Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the 9th-floor auditorium of MBA UGM Jakarta. The first day of the orientation started with a Welcome Remark from the Director of the MBA Program at UGM Jakarta Campus, Prof. Dr. Eduardus Tandelilin, M.B.A., followed by speeches from the Rector of Gadjah Mada University, Prof. Dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG(K), Ph.D., and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Gadjah Mada University, Prof. Dr. Didi Achjari, M.Com., Ak., CA., delivered via video.
In the morning session of the first day, the Board of Directors (BOD) of MBA FEB UGM Jakarta explained the academic activities and lectures at MBA Jakarta. The afternoon session was led by Prof. Dr. Basu Swastha Dharmmestha, M.B.A., who spoke about Learning Strategies, which covered preparations before the students begin their studies, and the Values and Philosophy of UGM, explaining the history of UGM, FEB, and MM.
On the second day of the New Student Orientation, a Business Fun Game (BFG) was held, led by Mr. Sumaryono, Mrs. Tur Nastiti, Mr. Haryanto (commonly called Pak Sentot), and Mrs. Indrianingsih. The BFG involved various games designed to teach students teamwork and problem-solving skills. After the orientation, it is hoped that all the new students are well-equipped and ready to face their academic journey.
