The series of activities began on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, with attendance and a briefing session at the MBA FEB UGM campus before departure. During this session, Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Board of Director of MBA FEB UGM, delivered an inspiring message underscoring the importance of embracing the camp as both a character-building journey and a meaningful memory during the postgraduate learning experience.
“This Leadership Camp is not merely an outdoor activity, but a reflective space to understand yourself and your team. Five or ten years from now, you will remember these moments as part of your leadership journey,” he remarked.
Upon arrival at Pulesari Tourism Village, participants were welcomed with snacks before engaging in ice-breaking games and leadership games designed to foster teamwork and effective communication. A river trekking activity in the afternoon served as a reminder of the responsibility business leaders carry in preserving the environment. The evening concluded with MMUGM Hits, a creative performance platform where students showcased their talents and collaborative spirit.
On the following day, Thursday, 16 October 2025, the agenda continued with morning exercise around the natural tourist area. Participants then joined a Leadership Development session with Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs of FEB UGM, Bayu Sutikno, Ph.D., who elaborated on the purpose of the Leadership Camp and emphasized the importance of continuous self-development and integrity as foundational qualities of effective leaders.
“A good leader is not only capable of directing others, but also of understanding and empowering their team with empathy and a clear vision,” Prof. Amin noted.
The program concluded with the announcement of competition winners and a group photo session, followed by a wrap-up session and the return trip to the MBA FEB UGM campus.
Through the Leadership Camp batch 86, MBA FEB UGM reaffirmed its commitment to cultivating adaptive, authentic, and collaborative leaders.
