Ending the 3-month training program of CFP in MM FEB UGM, the participants celebrated their success in a graduation ceremony where they were officially acknowledged the Certified Financial Planner degree. In addition, they would count themselves as the member of Financial Planning Standard Boards worldwide. The CFP degree could be applied to win their future clients globally.
The graduation held on February 16, 2019 was attended by 11 participants. Representing MM FEB UGM, Bayu Sutikno, Cand., Merc., Ph.D. congratulated on the participants success. He mentioned that Indonesia had been suffering from a classic issue in financial literacy. The CFP presence was expected to grow Indonesian financial literacy as one of its aims. Bayu Sutikno asked the participants to keep on learning and improve their skill and knowledge after getting the degree for their professional life.
In the same occasion, Yuki Diwinoto, CPA, CFP, QWP as the Tax Advisor FPSB Indonesia extended his gratitude to MM FEB UGM for the cooperation in conducting the CFP training program. The campus had been the only up-to-date CFP organizer in term of training material and learning system compared to other institutions or universities. Yuki Diwinoto also trusted the training program could be continuously developed in the future and improve the new CFP graduates’ skill along with the business and financial challenges.
In the graduation ceremony, it was announced the Three Best Financial Planning Case Study which went to Albert Tirta Wijaya from PT Zurich Topas Life, Cahyono Suryo Dewo from PT BRI Life, and Metalia Puspitasari from RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta. All of the graduates, then, received their certificate of completion.
Cahyono Suryo Dewo represented his fellow CFP Batch XI participants to deliver his testimonial words. He mentioned that he should have joined the training program earlier as the knowledge was very precious. “By taking the CFP training program in MM FEB UGM, I am very thankful to meet great people in Batch XI,” said Cahyono. “We are taught all the knowledge starting from insurance planning, tax planning, investment planning, inheritance, and estate planning. These are very applicable to ourselves, our family, and other as I think Indonesian are clever enough to earn money but have limited understanding on how to organize it correctly,” he added.
The graduation ceremony was ended with group photo session and an open house session for CFP Batch XII from Yuki Diwinoto who spoke about financial planning.
