Alumni gathering has always been an event eagerly awaited by alumni wherever they are. This reunion can be an opportunity to meet old college friends they have not seen for a long time. For this reason, Kafegama MM Center took the initiative to hold a grand reunion with “Guyub Bareng – Merajut Kebersamaan” as its theme. The event was held in the Urban Forest, GBK Senayan, EX. Taman Anggrek, Jakarta, Saturday (01/10).
Chairman of the MM UGM Alumni Gathering Committee, also the General Secretary of Kafegama, Risto Samosir, said that the preparation of this activity was relatively short and apologized because the registration was only limited to 400 alumni. Risto also thanked all sponsors and committees so that event could be held successfully.
After two years of online-only greetings through social media, the alumni who attended this event were enthusiastic about meeting with each other. The event began at 6:00 in the morning with a Fun Walk and Fun Bike activity around the GBK arena. In addition, to make the atmosphere more lively, the committee also brought live music by Zevina Band.
On this occasion, R. Mahelan Prabantariso, Director of Risk Management, Human Resources, and General PT Asuransi Jiwasraya, who also served as Chair of the Public Relations Division of Kafegama MM Pusat, was present. “On behalf of all KAFEGAMA MM organizers, we hope this activity can be a place for alumni to meet their old friends and add networks. In addition, we also hope that all of the MM UGM alumni can actively participate in gathering activities like this,” he concluded.
Prof. Dr. Eduardus Tandelilin and Amin Wibowo, Ph.D. As the Director of MM FEB UGM Jakarta and Yogyakarta campuses also took the time to attend this event. They said the world ranking for the MM UGM study program increased to 72. In addition, he also conveyed a refreshment program for MM UGM alumni who wanted to gain more knowledge for free, and the program could be followed online or by attending lectures in class.
In the future, alumni expect another gathering event like this to be carried out in Yogyakarta, for this activity is a tangible form of UGM alumni working together to build a better country. (Public Relations: Radiani, Wira/Photos: MM UGM Documentation Team).
