BASIC KNOWLEDGE TEST
The Basic Knowledge Test is intended for prospective students with a Bachelor of Economics background. This test evaluates participants’ basic knowledge and skills regarding management, business, economics, mathematics and statistics. Participants who passed this test, do not need to follow the Pre-MBA Program or matriculation.
Test material:
- Business and Management: 40 questions (45 minutes)
- Managerial Economics: 40 questions (45 minutes)
- Statistics for Business Decision: 30 questions (45 minutes)
- Accounting and Finance: 30 questions (45 minutes)
ACADEMIC POTENTIAL TEST
The Postgraduate Academic Potential Test (PAPs) is a test designed to measure participants’ abilities in general knowledge, logic and analysis. Participants are not required to take this test if they already have an Academic Potential Test score from an institution recommended by MM FEB UGM.
Test material:
- Verbal: 50 questions (30 minutes)
- Quantitative: 50 questions (40 minutes)
- Logical: 50 questions (30 minutes)
ENGLISH TEST
Academic English Proficiency Test (AcEPT) is an English test designed to measure a person’s English proficiency in relation to the academic world. This test tests reading comprehension, composition skills, listening comprehension skills, grammar knowledge (structure), and vocabulary (vocabulary). AcEPT test results are described using a score range of 61 – 426. For the Master Program, the minimum score set is 209 or equivalent to 450 for the TOEFL Test. Participants are not required to take this test if they already have a score from an institution recommended by MM FEB UGM.
Test material:
- Listening Comprehension: 20 questions (15 minutes)
- Vocabulary: 30 questions (10 minutes)
- Grammar and Structure: 40 questions (30 minutes)
- Reading Comprehension: 40 questions (40 minutes)
- Composing Skills: 40 questions (40 minutes)
INTERVIEW TEST
Participants who have taken the written test and managed to get a score in accordance with the qualifications set by MM FEB UGM, will then be called to take the next stage of the test, namely the interview test. The results of this interview test will provide an overview of the personality, motivation and abilities of participants in participating in the Master’s Program. Aspects of assessment in the interview test include appearance and attitude during the interview, clarity of mindset, ability to communicate in Indonesian and English, motivation to study, commitment to the learning process, self and career development, as well as insight into business and economics.
MM FEB UGM decides the admission results based on the results of the written selection test and interview test. The form of the decision is:
- Fully Accepted in the MBA, IMBA and EMBA Programs
- Fully Accepted in Pre-MBA Program
- Conditionally Accepted, if the participant is declared to have passed the interview test but has not met the required score
- Rejected.
