Master in Management Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Gadjah Mada (MM FEB UGM) celebrated its 6th Lustrum or its 30th Anniversary which was commemorated on July 2, 2018. A 3-day series of events was prepared in which involved the alumni.
On June 30, 2018, MM FEB UGM presented “Leadership Talk” by inviting the alumni who has been famous for their career and role in Indonesia. They were Pramono Anung Wibowo, the Minister of State Secretariat of Indonesia who was an alumnae of Batch Regular 4 Yogyakarta, Abdullah Firman Wibowo, the President Director of PT Bank BNI Syariah (Persero) who was an alumnae of Batch Regular 5 Yogyakarta, Gusti Ngurah Putu Sugiarta Yasa, the President Director of PT Sarinah (Persero) who was an alumnae of Batch Regular 6 Yogyakarta, Arief Harsono, the President Director and CEO of Samator Group who was an alumnae of Batch Executive 4 Yogyakarta, Iwan Agung Firstantara, the President Director of PT PJB (Persero) who was an alumane of Batch Executive 3 Yogyakarta, Cris Kuntadi, the Expert Staff to the Minister of Transportation as well as Commissioner of PT KAI who was an alumnae of Batch International 20 Yogyakarta, and Sundari Soekotjo, an entrepreneur in creative industry who was an alumnae of Batch Executive B 6 Jakarta. The willingness and enthusiast of alumni to contribute in the event was harmonious with the theme of the Lustrum “Alumni Homecoming 30.6: Reunite, Reconnect, Rekindle”.
Taking place in Auditorium Sukadji Ranuwihardjo, the “Leadership Talk” was opened by the Chairman of Kafegama MM FEB UGM, Ikang Fawzi. He mentioned that the alumni gathering of MM FEB UGM was aimed to reunite all the alumni spread over Indonesia and abroad in order to tighten the bond and network among them. The eleven thousand alumni would be able give contribution to the country. “The knowledge from our college life will never be useless, some manages to be a president director even minister. Now, we look forward to see our colleagues from the entrepreneurship side to perform and move forward for our beloved country,” he added.
It was continued with a speech from Budi Karya Sumadi, the Chairman of Kafegama UGM who was the Minister of Transportation of Indonesia. Budi Karya invited the alumni of MM FEB UGM to support the national economy development by contributing their creativity and innovative work. He stated that the key factor which determined the country future success in keeping up the economic growth and competitiveness was the spirit and hard work of the society. “The extraordinary competency of UGM graduates added by integrity, loyalty, and solidarity will be a great power since one single competent person will be useless unless connected with others,” said Budi Karya in opening the discussion of “Leadership Talk”.
The first moderator on duty was Rangga Almahendra, a lecturer of MM FEB UGM as well as an alumnae of Batch Regular 39 Yogyakarta. He lead the first session with Pramono Anung Wibowo, Abdullah Firman Wibowo, Iwan Agung Firstantara, and Arief Hartono as the speakers. Sigit B. Darmawan, an alumnae of Batch Executive B 24 Jakarta, continued the second session which presented Gusti Ngurah Putu Sugiarta Yasa, Cris Kuntadi, and Sundari Soekotjo as the speakers.
