New Student Orientation Program MBA, IMBA 79 & SEMBA 38 Yogyakarta Campus

New Student Orientation of the MM FEB UGM for International MBA 79, and Senior Executive MBA 38 Yogyakarta Campus programs have been carried out boldly via Zoom, attended by 212 invitees consisting of 182 new students, BOD, MMSA, and representatives of academic and non-academic clubs (6/8/ 2021).

Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., the Director of MM FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus opened the orientation by informing all new students that MM FEB UGM become one of the 5% business schools in the world that AACSB International accredits. In addition, Amin also conveyed the vision, mission, and learning objectives of MM FEB UGM.

Bayu Sutikno, Ph.D., added that MM FEB UGM is a business school in Indonesia that is included in the ranks of #201+ Worldwide Top Global MBA Program, #178 Worldwide in Thought Leadership, #75 in the Worldwide in Entrepreneurship & Alumni Outcomes QS World University Rankings 2020. MM FEB UGM has also been accredited by AACSB and has an extensive network with various business schools in the world. MM FEB UGM has six concentrations that students can choose according to their field of interest. MM FEB UGM campus also has facilities that will support all lecture activities. There is also a student organization, MMSA 11.0 (Master Management Student Association), with 14 student clubs as a forum for student activities. “Your decision to join MM FEB UGM is the right decision,” said Bayu.

Bayu also explained the curriculum, learning techniques, credits, and courses that students must take. He gave directions regarding attitudes, enthusiasm, commitment when taking Pre MBA, study period, soft skill development activities with various fundamental values and behavior, courageous college netiquette, campus facilities, and access to the journals and databases for all MM FEB UGM students. The closing session ended with the Q and A session by Bayu and Amin.

The event continued with a campus tour video that was very interesting and could provide a complete picture of the facilities of the MM FEB UGM campus. “Hopefully, the pandemic will pass quickly, and all of you can enjoy the existing campus facilities,” Bayu continued. The next session was the introduction of MMSA 11.0 and the presentation of various academic and non-academic fields delivered by Jubert William Reo as CEO of MMSA 11.0.

Students’ enthusiasm was even more visible when we distributed books about MMSA 11.0 and its student clubs with various questions about when to register at the registration link of the club of interest. Students enlivened the event with a photo session with all the New Student Orientation invitees. The entire series of events closed with a video showing the previous batch singing the song Heal the World as an encouragement that all will remain strong in the face of the pandemic in Indonesia and a cover of the music presented by the AEC MM FEB club.
