Yogyakarta (10/7), the 2023 Summer Course Program, has started due to excellent collaboration between the University of Antwerp, Belgium, and MBA FEB UGM. The Summer Course will be held for 12 days in Yogyakarta and Jakarta.
This program was officially launched through a ceremonial event at the MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, preceded by several remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, Prof. Didi Achjadi, Ph. D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, The University of Antwerp, Prof. Koen VandenBempt, Ph.D., Director of the MBA Study Program FEB UGM Jakarta Campus, Prof. Dr. Eduardus Tandelilin, and the Summer Course Program Coordinator from The University of Antwerp, Prof. Peter Verhezen, Ph.D. The Deputy Dean for Cooperation and Alumni FEB UGM and several Deputy Directors of MBA FEB UGM were also present along with all the Summer Course Program participants from The University of Antwerp, totaling 38 students and two companions.
“I think it’s important for us to see what’s happening in Southeast Asia, in Europe or Western situation, we think we are in Disneyland, we have everything, it’s important for the students to have the experience,” said Koen. This program aims to provide students with more knowledge and improve collaborative relations between MBA FEB UGM and The University of Antwerp.
“We are deeply grateful to all the speakers and participants who have taken the time to be present at this program. Your knowledge and experiences will be invaluable and contribute significantly to our discussions. We believe cooperation and collaboration are key to sustainable growth and progress. Finally, I wish you all fruitful learning and discussions. “May this event provide you with new knowledge and insights about business in Southeast Asia, particularly in Indonesia,” said Didi.
According to Peter, as the Summer Course Program coordinator from The University of Antwerp, the summer course program between The University of Antwerp and MBA FEB UGM will be held yearly. It will continue for the next 10 to 15 years. “This international collaboration reflects more diversity inforcing innovation and inspired for transformation solutions,” added Eduardus.
