Sustainability Outlook 1.0: “Greenpreneurs Lead the Future”

Sustainability Club, one of the clubs in Master of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), organized an event entitled “Sustainability Outlook 1.0: Greenpreneurs Lead the Future” on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Faculty Meeting Room of the MBA FEB UGM building. The event brought in prominent speakers who have extensive experience in the field of Sustainability and green innovation.

The speakers who shared their knowledge and experience included Habib Abdillah Fakhri, CEO of PT Dayasurya Teknologi Mandiri, Dr. Rr Tur Nastiti, M.Si., Ph.D., Lecturer of FEB UGM and also Representative of ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership, and Rocky Adiguna, SE, M.Sc., Ph.D., Lecturer of FEB UGM and also Representative of ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership.

Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta campus opened the event with remarks, “In this ever-changing era, it is important for us to not only keep up with the times but also become leaders in sustainable innovation. As an educational institution, MBA FEB UGM is committed to educating and inspiring future leaders who will drive economic growth that is not only fast, but also environmentally friendly. It is not just about making business greener, but also about ensuring that all our actions today can support the long-term Sustainability of our planet.” Prof. Amin said.

“Greenpreneurs Lead the Future” is an educational and networking platform for professionals, academics, and anyone interested in Sustainability. The event is open to the public and is expected to inspire many parties to contribute to environmental conservation efforts actively. Rocky Adiguna, emphasized that Sustainability is a complex issue that cannot be solved partially. Therefore, collaborative efforts are needed to provide solutions jointly. “Through the ASEAN Network for Green Entrepreneurship and Leadership (ANGEL), I am optimistic that we can make a positive contribution towards raising awareness and sustainability-oriented business practices.” She said.

Tur Nastiti appreciated the audience present. The students seemed very enthusiastic and excited about participating in this event, “experts, business people, researchers, students, all present at this event provide excellent insight so that participants can absorb a lot of information related to sustainability business,” said Nastiti, she also hopes that there will be follow-up activities from this program such as joint research, creating a business, and even just discussing together.

Novan Restu Pramono, MBA, HRBP, Human Capital & Finance PT Telkom Indonesia, an alumnus of MBA FEB UGM, was also present and witnessed this event. He hopes that this event can continue and also be more exposed so that it can benefit many people. (PR & Documentation: Danis)
