Students of the Master of Business Administration study program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) had the opportunity to learn directly from Dr. Drs. Rivan Achmad Purwantono, SH, MH, President Director of PT Jasa Raharja, who was present as a guest lecturer. The event occurred in the Faculty Meeting Room, MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
This event is part of a series of lessons in the Business Ethics for Sustainability course taught by Prof. Dr. Eko Suwardi, M.Sc., Ph.D. Dr. Rivan’s presence in this class is as a speaker and a business practitioner who shares his knowledge about business ethics and sustainability.
In his speech, Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM, Rocky Adiguna, Ph.D., expressed his deep appreciation. “We are very grateful to Dr. Rivan, who has taken valuable time in his busy schedule as a company leader to share knowledge and experience with our students,”Rocky said. He added, “This is an honor and an excellent opportunity for students to learn from a top leader like Dr. Rivan.”
In this guest lecture, students’ enthusiasm was evident as they asked Dr. Rivan many questions about ethical business practices. The event was closed with the distribution of books Dr. Rivan wrote, which provided further insight into the topics discussed.
Prof. Dr. Eko Suwardi also expressed his hope to the students, “Take advantage of this opportunity to dig deeper into sustainable business ethics and its application in the real world.”
The event increased students’ knowledge of business ethics and strengthened the connection between academia and industry.
