New Student Orientation for MBA/IMBA 85 & SEMBA 44: Building Future Leaders

Master of Business Administration program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) Yogyakarta campus held an online orientation for the new students of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) programs (85th intake) as well as the Senior Executive Master of Business Administration (SEMBA) program (44th intake) on August 2, 2024. This event aimed to provide comprehensive information to new students about the academic and non-academic processes at the MBA FEB UGM program.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Director of the MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta campus, expressed his pride in the new students who chose to join the prestigious MBA FEB UGM program. “Students should be proud to be part of an AACSB-accredited program, as only about 5% of all MBA programs worldwide have this accreditation,” he said. The AACSB accreditation signifies that the program meets high standards in business education.

Prof. Amin also encouraged the new students to actively participate in all activities, especially the Leadership Enhancement and Acceleration Program (LEAP), which aims to develop their leadership skills.

During the orientation, new students were introduced to the professional staff of the MBA FEB UGM program and the team from the MBA FEB UGM Student Association (MBA SA). Handitya Syaifuddin Yusuf, CEO of MBA SA 17.0, warmly welcomed the new students and explained the organizational structure and regulations of MBA SA 17.0, which is committed to assisting and supporting students both in and out of the classroom.

This orientation is expected to provide a strong foundation for new students as they begin their studies at the MBA FEB UGM program. The new students were very enthusiastic during the Q&A session, with their questions being thoroughly answered by the program administrators.
