MBA FEB UGM July 2025 Graduation Farewell Night: Celebrating Academic Journeys and New Beginnings

The Master of Business Administration Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), hosted the Malam Pelepasan Calon Wisudawan (Graduation Farewell Evening) for the July 2025 period on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. The event took place at the backyard plaza of MBA FEB UGM’s Yogyakarta Campus and was attended by the Vice Dean of FEB UGM, along with members of the Board of Directors, faculty, staff, graduating students, and their families.

MPCW (The Graduation Farewell Evening) is a regular agenda organized by the MBA FEB UGM Program as a gesture of appreciation for students who have completed their academic journey. This period saw graduating students from various MBA concentrations participate in a send-off ceremony that was solemn yet warm and familial.

In his remarks, Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin, Ph.D., Director of MBA FEB UGM Jakarta Campus, expressed his optimism for the graduates future “I am confident that graduates of the MBA FEB UGM program carry a certain brand. For those seeking employment, I hope you will secure it quickly, and for those already employed, I hope your careers continue to progress,” he stated.

A total of 60 MBA FEB UGM students graduated with cum laude honors. Representing the July 2025 cohort, Irfan Julhidayat, a student from EMBA 54 B at the Jakarta Campus who achieved a perfect 4.00 GPA, delivered his speech, “UGM is not merely a place to gain knowledge. It is a space for instilling values of sustainability, integrity, and service,” he said.

In an interview on July 22, 2025, Irfan shared that his motivation for pursuing a Master’s degree was to enhance his competencies so he could contribute more to his organization. He cited three main reasons for choosing MBA FEB UGM: first, its academic quality, as evidenced by its international AACSB accreditation an assurance of excellence and global recognition, positioning MBA FEB UGM as a pioneer; second, his pride and joy in being part of the UGM community; and third, the campus strategic location near his workplace and residence.

Aan Setiawandi, M.B.A., Chief Financial Officer of PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia and an alumni representative, urged graduates to uphold the university’s reputation, “Let us always safeguard the good name of UGM alumni wherever we are and in whichever organization we work, because integrity is everything,” he remarked.

Dr. Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at FEB UGM, also addressed the graduates, emphasizing that good character will take one to great heights. He stressed that positive behavior is the key to achieving success and reaching higher positions in life.

By holding the July 2025 Graduation Farewell Evening, MBA FEB UGM reaffirmed its commitment to producing high-caliber graduates ready to make tangible contributions across industries and the global community. This milestone is expected to inspire them to continue achieving excellence and delivering positive impact in their professional endeavors.
