The Master of Business Administration Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), began the new semester with a special occasion. On Monday, August 11, 2025, international students from various countries were welcomed at the MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus building, marking the start of their academic journey in Indonesia.
The event commenced with a campus tour and an introduction to the facilities that support the learning process, including the library, student lounge, leadership hall, discussion rooms, and the academic resource centre. This agenda was designed to help students adapt while gaining an understanding of the dynamics of education and business in Indonesia.
In his remarks, Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Director of the MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Program, emphasized that cultural diversity is a vital asset in building innovative business insights. “Each student brings unique experiences and perspectives. These differences are not obstacles, but opportunities to learn from one another and broaden our horizons,” he said.
International students were also introduced to a range of non-academic activities such as business seminars, workshops, and social projects involving local students. Through these interactions, they are expected to develop cross-cultural communication skills, adaptability, and strategic leadership capabilities essential for global careers.
With a strong commitment to inclusivity and collaboration, MBA FEB UGM strives to create a learning environment that fosters innovation and positive contributions at both the national and international levels.
