The Jakarta Campus of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), officially welcomed 197 new postgraduate students during its Orientation Program held on Saturday, August 9, 2025. These students come from diverse professional backgrounds and are now ready to begin their academic journey as part of the MBA FEB UGM community.
The two-day orientation program, held from August 9 to 10, was designed to help students transition smoothly into campus life and to better understand the academic environment at MBA FEB UGM Jakarta.
The first day began with opening remarks from Prof. Dr. Eduardus Tandelilin, M.B.A., Director of the MBA FEB UGM Jakarta Campus. In his speech, Prof. Tandelilin encouraged the new students to uphold integrity throughout their studies and later become alumni who are united, harmonious, and impactful reflecting the spirit of KAGAMA, UGM’s alumni network.
Following the opening, Dr. Bowo Setiyono, M.Com., Ph.D., Secretary of the MBA Program, delivered a comprehensive overview of the academic system, curriculum structure, and learning ecosystem. His session provided students with key insights into how the program is structured to foster both leadership and professional competency.
In the next session, Prof. Dr. Basu Swastha Dharmmestha, MBA, shared valuable perspectives on learning strategies and the core values of UGM. He emphasized the importance of meaningful learning, rooted in UGM’s core principles: integrity, diversity, and real contribution to society.
The second day of orientation featured the Business Fun Game (BFG), a dynamic team-based activity designed to encourage collaboration and problem-solving through interactive learning. Through these games, students developed critical soft skills while building connections with their peers.
The Orientation Program concluded with the hope that all new students are now well-prepared and motivated to begin their academic experience at MBA FEB UGM Jakarta Campus, ready to face new challenges and grow both personally and professionally.
