The Gadjah Mada International Journal of Business (GAMA IJB) held a workshop on final manuscript decision-making on Wednesday, 8 October 2025, at the MM UGM Hotel in Yogyakarta. The event marked an important step in ensuring that every manuscript slated for publication meets international academic standards and ethical guidelines for scholarly publishing.
GAMA IJB is an international peer-reviewed journal published three times a year by the Master of Management Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The journal focuses on publishing research in the field of business, covering topics such as Marketing Management, Finance, Strategic Management, Operations, Human Resources, E-Business, Governance, Information Systems, International Business, Ethics and Sustainability, and Entrepreneurship.
The workshop opened with remarks from Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin, M.B.A., Ph.D., Board of Director of MM FEB UGM Jakarta. In his address, he emphasized the crucial role of GAMA IJB as a collaborative platform for academics and business researchers. “GAMA IJB is our shared journal, striving to broaden the number of high-quality publications in specific areas of business. We hope that GAMA IJB will continue to strengthen its international reputation and make a meaningful contribution to the development of business scholarship in Indonesia and globally,” he stated.
The program continued with presentations on editorial policies, the review process, and the criteria for making final manuscript decisions. Editors and reviewers then engaged in in-depth discussions to review assessment results, provide revision recommendations, and determine whether manuscripts were accepted, revised, or rejected. The discussions were constructive, driven by a commitment to maintaining academic integrity and consistent publication quality.
Through this workshop, GAMA IJB reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening a research culture that is ethical, transparent, and globally competitive. The event served not only as a forum for manuscript evaluation but also as an avenue to reinforce a shared vision of positioning GAMA IJB as a leading business journal representing the quality of Indonesian academic research on an international stage.
