The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), once again reached out to its alumni through the event “FEB UGM Menyapa Alumni”, which this time took place at the Four Points Hotel, Manado, on Friday, October 10, 2025. The event served as a gathering and networking forum to strengthen ties between the faculty and its alumni across North Sulawesi.
The program was divided into two sessions: a sharing session introducing the Master’s and Doctoral programs, and an interactive talk show discussing topics such as academic reputation and ranking, curriculum updates, and the introduction of the International Doctorate in Business program. The event was filled with warmth and camaraderie, reflecting the spirit of guyub, rukun, and migunani, the hallmark of the FEB UGM family.
The Chairman of KAFEGAMA North Sulawesi Chapter, Prof. Dr. Herman Karamoy, S.E., Ak., M.Si., C.A., expressed his hope that this event would expand networks and strengthen relationships among alumni. Meanwhile, the Chairman of KAGAMA North Sulawesi, Colonel Arh. Djonlie Kaligis, conveyed his appreciation for FEB UGM’s visit to Manado.
“We at KAGAMA North Sulawesi are grateful for FEB UGM’s visit in making Manado one of the destinations for this event. We hope this visit will inspire more people to pursue their studies at Gadjah Mada, our shared alma mater,” he said.
Representing FEB UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, Ph.D., emphasized the crucial role of alumni in supporting the faculty’s ongoing development and adaptability to remain relevant amid the evolving dynamics of the professional world.
