MBA FEB UGM 2025 Graduation Night: A Moment of Togetherness and Appreciation for Achievement

The Master of Business Administration Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) held its Graduation Night on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the MBA FEB UGM Plaza on its Yogyakarta campus. This event served as a meaningful occasion to honor and recognize the graduates who have completed their academic journey with dedication and excellence. The ceremony was attended by the Vice Dean of FEB UGM, directors, faculty members, staff, alumni representatives, graduating students, and their families.

A total of 185 graduating students participated in the event, including 60 graduates who achieved cum laude distinction. The strong turnout reflected the high enthusiasm of the graduates to celebrate their academic achievements with the MBA FEB UGM academic community. The evening began with a warm welcome from the masters of ceremony, followed by an opening speech and report delivered by Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., from the Board of Directors of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus. Prof. Amin stated, “Studying at the MBA FEB UGM certainly requires perseverance and sacrifice. Therefore, I would like to express my gratitude to the spouses of our graduating students, as well as to the parents who entrusted their sons and daughters to pursue education at MBA FEB UGM.”

As a form of recognition for academic excellence, the graduate with the highest cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) was announced: Sarjiman, with an outstanding GPA of 3.97. Representing the graduating class, Sarjiman delivered his remarks: “As graduates of MBA FEB UGM, we bear a great responsibility. We are not only expected to succeed in our careers but also to create a positive impact on society, industry, and the nation.”MBA FEB UGM alumnus Tubagus Farash Akbar Farich, M.B.A., also delivered a message, encouraging graduates to “keep striving, keep learning, and never stop gaining knowledge because the world continues to evolve.” He emphasized, “Be leaders with integrity.”

In his address, Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEB UGM, shared three key messages: “First, congratulations on completing your studies at MBA FEB UGM. This is not the end, but the beginning of your professional journey. Second, for those continuing their careers within FEB UGM, we have recently opened the IDB program. And third, remember one thing — a good attitude makes you reach a good altitude.”

The atmosphere of the graduation night was made more heartfelt by musical performances that entertained all attendees. Following the formal sessions, the night concluded with congratulations from the management team and a group photo session, symbolizing friendship and togetherness among the graduates. It is hoped that this memorable evening will serve as both a beautiful reminder and an inspiration for the graduates to continue contributing to the nation and society.
