CEO MBA SA 17.0 Candidate Debate: Ideas and Vision for the Future

Master of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) held the election of Chief Executive Officer MBA Student Association (CEO MBA SA) batch 17.0. On Tuesday, July 9, 2024.

The CEO MBA SA candidate debate presented 2 candidates, namely Handitya Syaifudin Y. and Adang Priyanto. A number of panelists attended the debate, including Prof. Amin Wibowo, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D. (Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta), Rocky Adiguna, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta), Achmad Iqbal (CEO of MBA SA 15.0), and M. Daffa Muafa (CEO of MBA SA 16.0). Representatives from various academic and non-academic clubs were also present to ask questions to the candidates.

In this debate, the candidates not only conveyed their vision and mission, but also answered various questions submitted by the panelists. Topics discussed included various important aspects such as academics, student affairs, external relations, membership management, as well as innovations in MBA SA work programs.

The debate was opened by the Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta, Prof. Amin Wibowo, who expressed his appreciation for the conducive election process. Prof. Amin hopes the candidates are able to show real programs and enthusiasm to lead.

“We expect candidates to take more action. Culture is share of belief, share of values, share of norm and behavior. What candidates will give to MBA students, I expect real action from candidates to strengthen the culture in this MBA program that we love.” Prof. Amin said.

This debate is not only a place to introduce the vision and mission of the candidates, but also as a space to build critical skills on current issues and build a responsible membership with integrity.

The CEO MBA SA 17.0 election will be held on July 10, 2024 through e-voting and is expected to run well and produce leaders who are able to bring MBA SA to a brighter future, with a strong spirit of innovation and collaboration.
