The Executive Series titled “AI Leadership for Advancing Business Education” returned with a fresh and dynamic format. The event showcased live AI-powered tools and featured a panel discussion with two prominent speakers: Adrian Lesmono (Consumer Business Leader at NVIDIA Indonesia), Anjas Maradita (AI Content Creator & Developer), and was moderated by Dr. Rocky Adiguna, Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM. The discussion offered participants a space to explore the development, potential, and challenges of implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the business world.
Held at the Sukadji Ranuwihardjo Auditorium, MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, this event was part of the Leadership Enhancement and Acceleration Program (LEAP)—a program designed to provide students with firsthand experience through interactions with leaders and industry professionals from well-known companies.
AI took center stage in the discussion, particularly due to its rising reputation as the “solution to everything.” Adrian shared, “I’m very enthusiastic and grateful to be given the opportunity to share. Sessions like this are crucial because the participants are future professionals ready to bring change. AI is a tool to help solve cost-related problems, but it’s important to see it as a problem-solver—not just a shortcut.”
Meanwhile, Anjas added, “Nowadays, anyone can develop AI-based software, and its adaptability potential is enormous. AI should be used for automation and business development—not as the main tool to produce commercialized final works. While AI can assist creative processes, an artist’s original work still holds irreplaceable value.”
To conclude the session, Dr. Rocky emphasized the importance of a deeper understanding of AI. “As professionals, it’s time we not only use AI but also understand and master it. Let AI be a tool that strengthens our capabilities—even as a strategic problem-solver in navigating business dynamics,” he remarked.
