The Master of Management Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), held its Graduating Students’ Farewell Night on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. The event served as an expression of appreciation for the students’ academic achievements before they embarked on their professional careers.
During this graduation period, MBA FEB UGM sent off 121 graduating students, 52 of whom earned cum laude honors. The highest academic achievement was attained by Fajar Munichputranto, who earned a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 4.00.
The event was attended by the leadership of FEB UGM, the Department of Management, the MBA FEB UGM Board of Directors, faculty members, administrative staff, alumni, as well as the graduating students and their families. The program began with dinner and a networking session. It was followed by a report from the Head of the Master of Management Program, Prof. Gugup Kismono, Ph.D., and the presentation of commemorative gifts to graduating students who earned cum laude honors.
Speaking on behalf of the graduating students, Fajar Munichputranto stated that the challenges facing graduates extend beyond keeping pace with global developments. Graduates must also preserve their identity and uphold noble values. He emphasized that graduating from a reputable institution should be accompanied by a responsibility to make sincere and meaningful contributions with integrity.
A similar message was delivered by Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah, M.B.A., Deputy Chairman of the Indonesia Aviation Association, who represented the alumni. He stressed that success should not be measured solely by results, but also by the quality and accountability of the processes through which those results are achieved. He also encouraged the graduates to strengthen their professional networks by joining KAGAMAMBA and KAGAMA.
The Dean of FEB UGM, Prof. Didi Achjari, Ph.D., described the farewell night as a moment of reflection on the graduating students’ hard work and intellectual journey. He encouraged them to consistently uphold integrity and professional ethics while protecting the reputation of their alma mater.
The event concluded with congratulatory greetings, musical entertainment, and a group photo session. The occasion is expected to mark the beginning of the graduates’ efforts to apply their knowledge and make meaningful contributions to society and the nation.
