The Master of Business Administration Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM), held Academix Culture in the Pancoh Ecotourism Village on March 2, 2024. This activity is part of the Leadership Enhancement and Acceleration Program (LEAP), which aims to develop leadership character while introducing local culture to all students.
The event was opened by the Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, Rocky Adiguna, Ph.D., in the front yard of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta campus. “By introducing local culture and the community around Pancoh Village, we hope that international students can feel that Jogja is their home too, so it will greatly help them complete their studies,” Rocky said.
Academix Culture is a mandatory program for all incoming students and International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) students each semester to introduce and explore the heritage and culture of Yogyakarta with fun cultural activities, such as learning to paint batik, playing traditional instruments, and making traditional crafts.
Academix Culture IMBA 83 participant, Fajar Munichputranto, revealed, “This activity teaches us about teamwork and introduces us to the culture of Jogja directly, and also introduces us further to our classmates and international MBA FEB UGM students.” (PR: Danis/Documentation: Irvan&Berlian)
