Eco Culturun 2025: Carrying the Spirit of Running, Culture, and Sustainability

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta is hosting Eco Culturun 2025, a collaborative event initiated by HEC, the Sustainability Club, and the Marketing Club, with the full support of MBA FEB UGM. Held on November 16, 2025, the event combined sports, culture, and sustainability education in a series of lively and inspiring activities.

Held at the MBA FEB UGM courtyard, Eco Culturun 2025 was attended by MBA FEB UGM students and the general public. The event began in the morning with a Fun Run, which was enthusiastically participated in by attendees from various backgrounds. Additionally, 55 Eco Culture Market vendors from Pasar Wiguna enlivened the event, showcasing a variety of sustainable local products ranging from culinary items, crafts, fashion, to other environmentally friendly products.

The event was opened by the Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of FEB UGM,
Bayu Sutikno, S.E., M.S.M., Ph.D., and attended by the Director of the MBA Program at FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, Prof. Amin Wibowo, S.E., M.B.A., Ph.D. Bayu opened the event with a warm welcome, saying, “On behalf of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, we would like to congratulate you on the event that we will hold today. I believe that health is the most important thing; without health, we cannot do anything,” said Bayu. The presence of faculty and study program leaders shows the institution’s support for the development of sustainability initiatives in the academic environment.

Anglilasandyakala, an MBA student from Class of 86 and Chair of the Eco Culturun 2025 Committee, expressed his gratitude to all those who attended and to the tenants. Angli also welcomed the Fun Run participants, saying, “Enjoy the show.”

Naufan Maulana Hasyim, an MBA student from the 86th batch and Chair of the HEC Club, said, “Good morning to all guests present today. I hope you enjoy this event and that it serves its purpose, which is to support the SDGs that are currently the vision of UGM,” said Naufan.

The atmosphere became even more lively with Zumba with Fithub, interactive quizzes, DJ performances, and various attractive door prizes. One of the performances that attracted attention was the cultural orchestra from Anglocita, a music group from the Yogyakarta Music High School (SMM).

As an educational platform, Eco Culturun 2025 presented Sustainability Outlook 4.0, a discussion session divided into two parts:

Session 1: “Leading the Green Transition: Strategy, Policy, and Purpose” by Yuanda Pangi Harahap, M.Sc., MBA (Project Coordinator of The Prakarsa)
Session 2: “Executing the Green Vision: Inclusive Innovation and Industry Transformation” by Rendy Ardiansyah, MBA., (President Director of PT Wika Tirta Jaya Jatiluhur) and Prof. Wakhid Slamet Ciptono, Ph.D. (Professor of Management at Gadjah Mada University)
The presence of speakers from various sectors provided in-depth insights into green transition strategies and sustainable innovation.

By combining sports, arts, sustainable MSME markets, and strategic discussions on the future of sustainability, Eco Culturun 2025 successfully created a collaborative space that strengthened environmental awareness while strengthening relationships between the academic community and society.
