The Master of Business Administration program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) is once again holding its Executive Series on November 21, 2025, as part of its program to enrich students’ leadership insights. In the 2025/2026 Fall Semester, Executive Series 4 will take up the theme of “Sustainable Leadership in Public Organizations.”
This activity is mandatory for all students and will take place offline on Friday, November 21, 2025. Executive Series 4 will be held in several lecture rooms at MBA FEB UGM, namely the Faculty Meeting Room on the 5th floor for PRA MBA 87 classes, rooms CR 401, 402, and 403 on the 4th floor for MBA 85 classes, and rooms CR 404, 405, and 406 on the 4th floor for MBA 86 classes. For this Executive Series event, MBA FEB UGM presented Dr. (H.C.) dr. H. Hasto Wardoyo, Sp.OG (K), Mayor of Yogyakarta, as the speaker. The event was moderated by Rocky Adiguna, Ph.D., Deputy Director of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus.
Prof. Amin Wibowo, Ph.D., Board of Directors of MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta Campus, was present and gave a speech. “We usually invite several executives from the private sector, but I think that in order not to be entirely oriented towards the private sector, we invited a speaker from the public sector, and he is here on this occasion to accompany us in learning about sustainable leadership,” said Prof. Amin. He also added that this is a valuable opportunity for students to learn about the real world, not only in the private sector but also in the public sector.
Through discussions and presentations from the speakers, students are expected to gain a deeper understanding of sustainable leadership practices in the context of public organizations, especially amid increasing demands for change, transparency, and accountability. Executive Series 4 is one of MBA FEB UGM’s commitments to providing relevant, applicable learning that is connected to the dynamics of the professional world.
By bringing together influential leaders and practitioners in their fields, this event also opens up a strategic dialogue between the academic world and the practical realities of organizations in addressing sustainability challenges.
