MBA UGM Supports Financial Professionalism Through CFP Batch 44 Training

Jakarta – April 11, 2026

One of the flagship programs of the MBA FEB UGM Jakarta Campus, the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) training, was held again for Batch 44. The opening ceremony was attended by 14 participants from various institutions and took place online on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 8am to 3pm WIB. The event began with an opening remark delivered by the Head of the MBA FEB UGM Jakarta Campus, Prof. Gugup Kismono. In his speech, he emphasized that the materials in this certification program are designed to be easily understood and are strengthened through interactive discussions to enrich participants’ perspectives on financial planning.

In reality, financial literacy levels in Indonesia remain relatively low. It is not uncommon to find families who are economically well-established yet experience financial disruption when unexpected situations arise. This is largely due to a lack of understanding in financial planning and management. Financial stability is not solely determined by income level, but also by the quality of planning. A financial planner is expected to assess clients holistically, covering their current financial condition, goals, investments, insurance, taxes, retirement plans, and inheritance planning. This comprehensive approach is key to providing appropriate solutions for clients.

This training represents both an honor and a source of pride for MBA FEB UGM, particularly the Jakarta Campus, as it continues its contribution in providing professional certification programs aligned with the needs of the financial industry. In collaboration with Financial Planning Standards Board Indonesia (FPSB), the program is committed to producing professional financial planners who are capable of designing and directing appropriate financial strategies for individuals and families.

With a structured curriculum and practical learning approach, the CFP program is expected to produce highly competent financial planning professionals who can deliver effective solutions and focus on clients’ long-term needs. This initiative further underscores MBA FEB UGM’s role as an educational institution that not only focuses on academic excellence but also on developing professional capabilities that create meaningful impact for society.
