The Human Resource Club of MBA FEB UGM, with the support of the Master of Business Administration Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (MBA FEB UGM) Yogyakarta, organized HR Talk as a platform for discussion and the exchange of practical insights in the field of human resource management. Carrying the theme “From Challenge to Solution: How Organizations Balance Employee Well-Being and Build Sustainable Engagement,” the event was held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Faculty Meeting Room, MBA FEB UGM Yogyakarta. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to delivering academic activities that are relevant to industry needs while enriching students’ learning experiences.
The event, attended by MBA FEB UGM students, featured Dhesca Prakoso Setiawan, Acting Vice President of Corporate Culture at PT Kereta Api Indonesia, as the keynote speaker. During the session, Dhesca shared practical experiences and strategies for addressing the challenges faced by modern organizations, particularly in promoting employee well-being while fostering long-term employee engagement.
In his presentation, Dhesca emphasized that organizational culture serves as the foundation for creating a balanced and productive workplace. He highlighted the importance of embedding corporate culture throughout the organization—not merely as a set of values, but as practices reflected in employees’ daily work. According to him, when an organization’s culture is genuinely embraced and consistently implemented, employee well-being naturally improves, leading to stronger and more sustainable engagement.
Dhesca also explained that a strong corporate culture plays a vital role in enhancing employee performance while fostering loyalty and job satisfaction. In addition, it contributes to improved customer service, supports innovation and digital transformation, and encourages recognition and appreciation of employees’ contributions.
The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which students enthusiastically explored practical issues commonly encountered in the workplace. The discussion provided valuable opportunities for participants to gain firsthand insights and perspectives from an experienced human resource practitioner.
